Lillie's new prosthetic!

Lillie has her new foot...and after a few days of being a little uncertain about it, she is now wearing it quite often. She doesn't want it on when she is bare foot (I don't blame her, there really is no reason for it then) but she will put it on to wear with her shoes. Her favorite shoes are her blue Crocs...they are often the shoe of choice. She is also starting to help put the foot on. It is much easier with powder so when it is time, she will go get the powder and rub it on her foot and ankle. It is really cute.
I will post a picture of her "foot" soon, but wanted to let everyone know how things were going. We even painted the toenails...hers and the prosthetic!

Congratulations, Andrea and Lillie. I've been wondering how you both were doing with an overflowing basket of adjustments to be made. Sounds as though life is good for you both. I'm glad!

This is wonderful news, and I am so glad that she is taking to it so well. Given her outrageous fashion sense, I am sure that the ability to wear a larger variety of shoes will be a great enticement for her to wear the prosthetic!

Love to you both-

Meg
