Package to the SWI

As I have probably mentioned several times, there is a very active group of families who have adopted from the Fuling SWI. They do wonderful things...from raising money for foster care to sending gifts to the workers at the orphanage. (If you want to read more about the group, be sure to check out the site... www.fulingkids.org!)Recently, 40+ families sent gloves and mittens for the nannies! We attached pictures of our children and cards or notes to the staff. Another parent, Mary, did a beautiful job of keeping track of all of the gloves and putting them all together to mail. Here is a picture of the box right before it was sent. The picture in the top right corner is of Lillie the day she arrived at the SWI. She was found by the gatekeeper, who appeared to be quite fond of her. (They were in several pictures together) Lillie and I sent him a pair of gloves as well! I truly believe our transition has been made easier because of the care Lillie received and the support I have received from Fuling Families.

Isn't it a great group...the Fuling Kids International? I just love that they are soooooo together on all these things they do. Makes it much easier for parents to stay involved, huh? We sent our mittens too, along with our Christmas family photocard.

That box of mittens looks great, doesn't it?! No wonder they look forward to our boxes each year! I want to participate every single year!

Every other parent I know who's adopted from China is soooo jealous of my Fulinger because of all the wonderful programs there! :)
