- Hello! My name is Andrea Nielsen and I have been teaching in Jessamine County for 24 years. The first 4 years of teaching were in Kindergarten and the last 20 have all been in Preschool! I have been lucky enough to be part of the Jessamine Early Learning Village since it opened in the Fall of 2000 and believe it is one of the best early childhood centers in Kentucky! I have one daughter, Lillie, who attends third grade at Rosenwald Dunbar Elementary! She attended preschool and kindergarten here at JELV, so I am still trying to get used to the thought of her being at a new school!

Pretty soon she might be saying "I had to cut it off because my head was geeeting hot!" Whoopi Goldberg was saying in an article once that when she was little she wanted long hair so bad that she used to tie a pillow case on her head so she could sling her "hair" over her shoulder. It looks like Lillie won't have to wait too long. Her hair is growing fast. I love her little piggie tails.
Claire loves Lillie's hair. She has told us on numerous occasions that she wants her hair to be hot pink (her favorite color). Lillie is definitely "Pretty in Pink"!
