Day 3-What a Great Laugh!

We have had a great day and a good night of sleep. It was hard to get Lillie settled after our day! we started with a call to Pop pop, then later in the morning went swimming. Lillie enjoyed the pool, but didn't like the water to get very deep. She did get braver as our time passed. We also had lots of fun playing today...she loves to rough house and Nai Nai was happy to do that with her. She also loves to write...and Ms. Julie will be happy to hear that she already has a great grasp! At dinner we ate with Levi and his family again and She and Levi had fun reaquainting themselves with one another. Lillie also got a lesson from the waitress on using chopsticks which was a lot of fun. (she also got chocolate from Nai Nai which might have contributed to our trouble getting to sleep!) We finished the day with our new toothbrush from Donna...she loves it! We are off today to see the pandas...that is if it stops raining...the only thing more overwhelming than being in one of China's
3 furnaces is to be here with 100% humidity! We love you all and can't wait to see everyone back home!

We wanted to be the first to post a comment on Day 3, but of course my technologically advanced sister beat us to it!! Our sentiment remains the same though...with each picture Lillie looks happier and happier, not to mention the joy we see on Aunt Pat and Mommy's faces!! YaYa has filled Mariel in on her new cousin's status, and Mariel wants to meet "Lillah"! We think that's pretty good for now!!
We love you all!!!!

Love the pictures... she has the best smile!
BUT.... I was counting on Lillie to teach me how to use chopsticks!! I thought SURELY she would know how =)

I have to admit, I was worried that she would just be miserable at first, to be taken out of her "world" but she looks happy as can be....

Love y'all lots, and can't wait to get my hands on Lillie!

Checked all day and went to dinner at the #1 China Buffet and lo and behold...more pics! These are great. Is she repeating any words or phrases? How much does she talk in Chinese? Wondering how you were communicating other than signing and or body language. What is the process until departure? Are you all free to do some sight seeing and exploration? Glad you are getting some more sleep. Love to you all!

Even more amazing than the fabulous photos of Lille is the fact that Lillie, a child they have yet to actually meet, has gotten my parents to post on a blog!!!!! Will wonders never cease??

She, as well as Andrea and Pat, look absolutely radiant, and your connection is obvious, even from this many miles away. What a joy for us all. I hope you get some fabulous photo ops with the pandas...I've always wanted to see them.

I'm with Ashley on the chopsticks....I was hoping Lillie would be able to teach me how to use them! That waitress better speed up the lessons.

Thank you again for keeping the blog up to date. It is so incredible to get to see the changes in all of you.

Lots of Love from the Travis contingent!

Wow! She is lovely! There is little in this world that is more beautiful than a child's smile. It's as if they know this fantastic secret...that if you're wise enough to stay quiet and observe then you might be lucky enough to share in their joy. From the looks of these pictures you and Lillie look to be swapping secrets like old friends...but it's even better because your are FAMILY! Can't wait for you ladies to return to the Bluegrass. Miss you bunches!

Andrea,
I'm so happy for you. I've been thinking about you and Lillie and praying for you all everyday since at least last Monday. I can't wait to come visit and hear stories, see pictures, etc. Lillie's going to be so proud of her mom, as she should be. You are the best.

Love,
Kevin
