Travels Home

What an adventure! Needless to say I am glad we survived and I don't want to do it again any time soon. Lillie had a hard time, especially with sleep. She slept very little, ate even less and coughed a lot! She even got sick at one point....poor thing. Plus, we had the misfortune of getting off the long flight from Tokyo to Detroit only to spend over 2 hours in a line waiting for immigration! we almost didn't make it to our flight to Lexington! All this to say we are home, and trying to get back into a schedule. (Lillie's time clock is completely off, so we are trying to get her used to the change in time) It is great to be home!

I am so glad that you are home! Aunt Pat told us about your bouts with illness, and I am thankful that, unpleasant though it was, you are home with no serious side effects. I know it will take a few days to get settled in and adjusted, but we can't wait to meet Lillie and get to know her. We will see you next weekend!

Love to you both,
Meg

Dear Andrea and Lillie,

Welcome home! So glad that you are back in the Bluegrass State and cannot wait until next weekend when we can finally meet this beautiful little lady. The boys are excited, too! I hope that they don't scare her half to death!! We'll restrain them, I promise.

See you soon....Love, Holly :-)

Andrea and Lillie;
Welcome home!! Sorry that the trip was so hard, a sick and tired toddler, you should get a medal. Don't underestimate the jetlag, it just pounds you for at least a week, and it is especially hard for the little ones because they can't make themselves try to sleep at night. Get her lots of sunshine during the day and make sure you get the help you need so YOU can get back on schedule so you can help Lillie get back on schedule.

Andrea and Lillie,
Welcome Home!! We are so glad you are finally here!! It was such a huge blessing to share in the moment when you arrived in Lexington!! It was amazing how well Lillie handled all the people!! It was also amazing to see the rainbow when we left!! It seemed to end right at your house!! I feel it was God's way of saying he fulfilled his promise and brought Lillie HOME!! I pray you all adjust well and can't wait to hold and hug Lillie!!
Love ya both, Cissie

Welcome home!!!!! I have been checking your blog mercilessly for updates and am relieved to hear of your safe arrival.

I must say Lillie is one of the most beautiful baby girls I have ever seen--truly. And that is just judging from her pictures! Can't wait to meet your precious little girl.

My best to you,
Bethany B.

It is quite wonderful to know that you three are home safe and sound. Exciting, exhausting adjustment days ahead but worth every minute, I'm certain.

Your teaching experience and the innate love you have for children will be a resource of knowledge in being a mother. God has given you a precious gift.

We glibly talk about trusting God, but just think of how much he is trusting you, Andrea!

Welcome back and welcome home!
